"The sand of time are sinking the dawn of heaven breaks!
The summer morn I've sighed for-
the fair, sweet morn awakes!"
If you look closely and step back there is another face between the hour glass and the ship. This is on the Homeward dictionary page.
This is the commission the Gross's have been waiting for, finally came to me. This is the rough sketch...tomorrow it will be 3 1/2 by 4 feet.
My boyfriend bought me a Henna kit for my birthday and such marvelous free hand ensued.
I pretty much had epic tattoos for ten days. Apparently he bought it from Fuego.
We are certainly blessed here on the west coast to have such a great influence of so many different cultures. I'm not entirely sure if I could get a henna kit from Kansas or if it would even be semi-normal to have Henna if I lived in Texas. But then again, I'm just making assumptions. Maybe Texas is the holy grail for Henna designers? Anyways, If anyone is interested in Henna, I would say avoid the Tacoma Mall henna shop, totally overpriced and poorly done. Just buy a kit for half the price and get more beauty for the buck.

"Socks" on the dictionary page with the definition of shoes, done in watercolor pencils on a dictionary page. I have this strange and quirky obsession with hosiery and stockings, the rule of thumb being the more exotic the better. Under shorts, under skirts with whatever...It's is just my thing.
Here I am working on it in canvas size. I took the dictionary page to Kinkos and blew it up to epic proportions and with Bohemian ink painted it on there. Pretty sweet huh?
Speaking of tights...here are some of my favorites I've ever seen. Living art.
This is beautiful. from Urban Outfitters.
Homemade...pretty impressive.
Poka-dots from the Nordstrom's Hosiery department.
level of excellence: ten.
Narwhales...splendid
Ombre perfection.
The lock and key, vintage.
Nordstrom's Hosiery Department, yet again.
I just bought these yesterday from the Urban Outfitters. Love them to pieces.

"The beauty", here superimposed on a dictionary page with the definition of beauty. While "beauty in form" is noted in the description, character qualities are at the forefront. Makes sense for a 1865 dictionary, a time where words like Chastity, Meekness, and Fortitude where prized before Sexy, Rich, and Wild.
This picture won 2nd place in the Pierce County "Our Own Expressions" contest this spring.
One of the first dictionary page drawing I've ever done, I do believe I've sold well over 30 of these.
It's painted with Ink pen and stands roughly 6 by 8 inches. However, i blew up the dictionary page at Kinkos and plastered it on a 30 by 40 inch canvas and repainted it. That is currently housed at the Social Bar&Grill.
