"The beauty", here superimposed on a dictionary page with the definition of beauty. While "beauty in form" is noted in the description, character qualities are at the forefront. Makes sense for a 1865 dictionary, a time where words like Chastity, Meekness, and Fortitude where prized before Sexy, Rich, and Wild.
This picture won 2nd place in the Pierce County "Our Own Expressions" contest this spring.
One of the first dictionary page drawing I've ever done, I do believe I've sold well over 30 of these.
It's painted with Ink pen and stands roughly 6 by 8 inches. However, i blew up the dictionary page at Kinkos and plastered it on a 30 by 40 inch canvas and repainted it. That is currently housed at the Social Bar&Grill.
